Experience Community Arts First Hand with Hands On Experience!

Volunteers are the backbone of most not for profit organizations and Arts Etobicoke is no different. They have played a vital role over the 30 years that we have been offering programs and services to the local arts community and residents.

What started with a small group of arts volunteers who saw the need to nuture local arts has grown to a force of more than 300 strong in 2003. And we're proud to say our volunteers literally do everything! They perform administrative duties in the office to assist staff. They hang exhibits, coordinate activities, direct traffic at events and greet the public with a smile. Our leadership volunteers ensure the longevity of our arts council by making sure our policies are current and viable, by chairing meetings, fundraising through their business connections and much more.

Our volunteers have seen some outstanding performances and art shows while they worked. They've attended gala evenings and art show openings for teens - and everything inbetween!. A volunteer for Arts Etobicoke can always expect to be involved in the new and innovative arts along side the traditional.

Most importantly, our volunteers are indispensible in helping us reach our goals of ensuring that residents have access to the arts; that arts education remains available to our teachers and students and that young people pursuing careers in the arts are encouraged and supported.
