2009 Laser Eagles
The Laser Eagles: Celebrating Artists with Diverse Abilities The Laser Eagles Art Guild is an organization that offers people with limited or no speech and with restricted use of their limbs the opportunity to partner with others in their community to create art. The name Laser Eagles is derived from the creative process, in which the artist uses a laser pointer to communicate what should be painted on the canvas to a 'tracker' or 'helper'. Trackers are volunteers: students, friends, family or artists who understand the artists and their abilities. The show features paintings by 7 Laser Eagle artists from this group: Debbie Holmes, Michelle Gifford, Chloe Shard, Sasha Jay (Gay) Robinson, Ashley Thornton, Felicia Galati, and Emily Hutchins. Come out to the Arts Etobicoke Gallery to see this extraordinary exhibition! Proceeds from the sale of artworks directly supports the Laser Eagles Guild.
